Fortnite
There are a lot of reasons why the video game Fortnite is so popular and well-known. The game has been around for years that have brought millions to many countries around the world to spend their time playing and enjoying it.
Over 60% of all videos on YouTube are related to the game and one in every ten people in the United Kingdom play the game at least once each day. Due to its popularity, many sequels or remakes are being produced that will never be finished by fans. However, only one game remains of the main franchise from the beginning, which is the original Fortnite. This review will take you through some things that I think are essential when trying to understand what makes this game remain such an influential genre.
The gameplay
Well, the most important thing to consider is how to go about killing enemies. With any kind of survival game, many tactics and strategies can help in succeeding. A great example of how to approach a fight is the strategy of taking a backflip out of your position, then attacking the enemy’s back while they are looking towards the player. Another type is “moving up the hillside.”
Another way to attack a boss battle is by using the grenades that are used as weapons. You can reach them by shooting them and shooting the boss from behind before you reach them. It works wonders because now it looks like you can fly away with all the ammo in an arsenal.
The best way to defend against attacks of your own is by going into another character and escaping by yourself, if possible. An easy way is to use whatever you can get your hands on. If you use something, try to make sure you know its limitations and remember to be cautious and keep the gun pointed out of aim.
The camera angles are very useful, but unfortunately, not everyone can enjoy what they have to offer. So don’t give up on having a good capture in action by relying too much on them. For me, I found myself struggling through those sections, especially towards the end of all fights. They were also really hard to shoot at night. Sometimes it was nice to see others getting hit and dying on top of a building, just like us as we did on our first times out.
Overall, this is such a fun game with various ways to find resources from different areas, collect items, and level up. Not everyone likes the map, but this game has something pretty special for everyone who enjoys survival games. To make it even better, more maps are coming soon with new challenges as well.
The Battle Royale Games
I’ve played battles, raiding, team death matches, multiplayer, competitive multiplayer maps, online PvP, free PvP, coop, squads, skirmishes, etc. From these games, I learned a few tips on how to survive and perform. These are the ones that I believe keep me going until the last victory in this game.
Play alone – Use two people to start together (or two different people) to defeat a person. When playing solo, it doesn’t necessarily mean you should be in the same area. That is why I recommend keeping the range wider, avoiding confrontations when I am near a group. Also, use flashlights or lights in the corner to avoid falling into shadows. Most importantly, don’t leave all your weapons lying in front of you. This is so you have enough ammo to kill everything including people. Don’t forget to pick them up again later too. Be smart in fighting people. Try to stay calm and let them handle the situation without attacking each other since you don’t want to hurt others either. Play quietly. One mistake can lead to more deaths than expected because you may feel overwhelmed and lose focus. Even though someone is angry at you, if you are calm, it means they are scared of what you might do and hence you can’t tell them anything else. Just try to concentrate on the task at hand and use your brain to find a solution to the problem with your skills. Find allies and make a plan. I found my friends the most helpful and reliable during such situations. Get close to them and listen to their advice. It takes time, but trust your friends to help you out. Learn how to read and decipher what others are saying through conversation. Make mistakes and learn from them. Do your best to protect yourself if someone tries to harm you. Always have a backup at a safe place in case the situation turns out badly. As soon as possible, try to hide from sight and make sure your allies are doing their part. Avoid losing your life in dangerous places and areas. Keep your eyes peeled and watch out for suspicious people. Go outside in low visibility when you can. Don’t worry too much about your health just yet. No matter what, always keep moving forward.
The Gameplay Elements
There are no elements in the game to make it a certain genre. Everyone goes through a different approach to surviving and performing and eventually ends with success. What makes the game unique is that there are plenty of choices to suit everyone’s preferences. But it’s not just about the graphics and physics. Several elements contribute to the feeling of survival in this game. Here are some of them:
The weather is very crucial to survival. It helps keep track of your location and what direction you are heading in, as well as the amount of water left in the river. Your enemies also work on the environment around you. It’s beneficial for finding food for yourself. Destroying buildings and collecting loot from nearby shops will allow you to move further toward your target without running out of ammo. Water is critical for fishing and mining. I like exploring the land with rocks or bamboo since it is light-based enough to carry and does not weigh much. At night, it’s difficult to navigate in darkness. Since the moon and stars play a huge role in your environment, it is very useful to look for bright light. The terrain is challenging enough to scare off a bunch of enemies, but it also adds variety to exploration. Finally, the ability to interact with the game will depend on your skill, not necessarily on your stats.
